The Products section is for businesses that sell physical products. Decide if it applies to you.

Products is ideal for: Retail shops, bakeries, florists, gift shops, any business selling physical items that customers can buy.

Products is NOT for: Pure service businesses like plumbers, solicitors, or consultants. Use Services instead.

Some businesses use both. A bakery might have Products (cakes, bread, pastries) AND Services (custom cake orders, catering). Use whichever sections fit your offerings.

Adding Products to Your Profile

Find the Products section in your business.google.com dashboard. It might be under a "Products" tab or within your profile editor.

Click to add a product. You'll typically need to provide: product name, photo, description, and optionally a price and product category.

Add a clear photo. Product photos should show the item clearly. Good lighting, clean background, professional-looking.

Write a brief description. What is it? Why would someone want it? Keep it concise.

Add the price if appropriate. If your prices are fixed, show them. If they vary (custom orders), leave it blank or add "From £X".

Organise products into categories. If you have many products, group them: "Cakes", "Bread", "Pastries" or "Flowers", "Plants", "Gifts".
**You don't need to list every product you sell.** Focus on your most popular items, signature products, or things you want to be known for. Think of it as a highlight reel, not a complete catalogue.

Your product photos represent your business. Here's how to make them look professional.

Use good lighting. Natural daylight is best. Avoid harsh shadows or dim lighting.

Keep backgrounds simple. A clean, uncluttered background lets the product stand out. White or light backgrounds often work best.
